A Cornish artist and former teacher, Sue works from her garden studio in North Cornwall, on the edge of Delabole Quarry. She creates colourful abstracts, semi-abstract landscapes, seascapes and still-life paintings. She continues to learn every day as she explores and plays with paint, collage and other media. Her current work offers abstracted still life paintings where she lays layer upon layer of paint to scratch or sand back, adding more here and there until the image is revealed.

Sue started painting in 2014 when she bought a box of oils paints from a car boot sale for the princely price of £3. She bought a small canvas and thought she would have a go - and hasn't looked back since! When her husband suddenly died in 2017, she gradually repurposed his woodwork shed into a light and spacious art studio.
