My art practice allows me the time to be mindful and experimental and ultimately brings me so much happiness. My paintings reflect the joy I experience when I am in the studio splashing paint around. I am a lover of bright colour, big and bold expression and finding the beauty in the unexpected.
Colour is the driving force behind my bright and gestural paintings. I am interested in the power of colour to communicate feelings. I notice and capture colour, pattern, and texture daily. Then, back in the studio I paint out an expressive connection between colour and form. I don’t attempt to recreate a scene or photo but I intend to paint a feeling of it.
