Deb's artistic practice is deeply rooted in the 'plein air' tradition, allowing her to engage directly with the landscapes that have stood the test of time yet exhibit a dynamic quality through the ever-shifting interplay of light, weather and season.

Deb's work seeks to distil the quintessential spirit of West Cornwall's landscapes. Employing a blend of oil & cold wax, alongside acrylic and mixed media, she works on canvas, paper, and board to translate the region's unique ambience into tangible art forms.

Deb has work in private collections in the UK, Europe, USA and Canada.

Deb is also an avid photographer, and has gained the LRPS, the first level distinction from the Royal Photographic Society.

Studio information

The Old Barn Studio is situated in the hamlet of Mulfra, midway between Penzance & Zennor. From either direction, come into the village of Newmill, and take the turn signposted 'Ding Dong/Trythall' Follow the road for approx 1/2 mile and you will see Mulfra signposted on your right. Turn up to Mulfra along a single track road, with plenty of passing spaces...(it is a no-through road, so traffic is minimal!). At the top of the road you will see The Old Barn on your right. Come through the double gates where there is plenty of on-site parking.
