Sandy Horton

Glass

I was first introduced to fused glass whilst studying on a post graduate diploma in architectural stained glass at Central St Martins.  I have never looked back!

I make glass pieces that are inspired by the light and patterns of the Cornish land and seascapes.  I enjoy the challenges that glass offers, creating different textures and effects, taking full advantage of 'accidents' that occur in or out of the kiln creating unintended, but often exciting effects.

Glass is a fascinating medium and many people comment on how they never tire of a piece of glass art because with the ever changing reflection, transmission and shifting light levels it never looks quite the same.
