An eye catching willow handbag/shopper woven on a Catalan base and using Brittany Green willow from my withy beds paired with contrasting white willow from the Somerset Levels. Finished with a bottle green leather handle attached with gunmetal grey rivets.

Mini-maund
Willow, Hazel and leather
Inspired by the shape of the North Devon Maund this basket is woven using Whissender and Oheasant Brown willow from the Bojorrow withy beds. The clog feet/corner posts are from locally coppiced hazel.

Woven using white and buff willow together with skeined willow from the Bojorrow withy beds. Inspiration taken from Coverack where I swim most mornings and the sea creatures and weed that lives there.

I use willow as my primary medium to craft both contemporary and traditional baskets and like to mix this with other materials sourced from the natural environment around me. After years of learning traditional skills and working sustainably using my own harvest, I create contemporary and traditional baskets reflecting the beauty of my surroundings. My daily routine of walking and sea swimming on the picturesque Lizard peninsula inspires me. The tactile nature of my work combined with the feel of the willow allows me to unwind and let go of everyday stress - getting lost in the sound of weaving and the rhythmic movements of my craft. Nothing is more satisfying to me than producing beautiful contemporary and traditional baskets from materials harvested just a stone's throw from my workshop.

Directions from Truro are:

A394 from Truro to Falmouth, Helston & Penzance. At Helston go on by-pass road (not to town centre) follow signs to Penzance and Lizard.

Various roundabouts, keep bearing left with open country to left side. After ‘Flambards’ and Sainsbury’s roundabout go straight over next roundabout onto A3083 towards Lizard, St Keverne and Mullion with Culdrose air base on the left. After Culdrose air base, you come to roundabout turn left onto B3293 towards St Keverne and Coverack. Continue down to Rosevear and up steep hill to roundabout at Mawgan (war memorial). Straight over (direction St Keverne); pass Garras Primary School on left. Continue through Garras and about 200m after unrestricted speed sign, turn right into country lane - there's a sign saying unsuitable for HGVs. Higher Bojorrow is the first property on the right. Drive past the house (Higher Bojorrow) - my workshop is through the next gate on the right.

Directions from St. Keverne:

A3083 towards Helston. Go past the Goonhilly Satellite Station. After approximately 1.5miles you will go around hairpin bends at Chygarkye Farm, after approximately 400m take the next left – the lane is obscured by trees. There is a mile marker opposite the lane on the right hand side and also a bright yellow telegraph pole stay on the left just before the turning. Drive past the house (Higher Bojorrow) - my workshop is through the next gate on the right.
