Annie b.- art

Paintings, Illustrations & Children's books

Art from the Heart.- annie b. will be exhibiting with a collective of seven artists at the Eco Park Porthtowan

Multi award winning artist and illustrator Annie b. lives in Porthtowan on the rugged north coast of Cornwall where in her tropical garden studio she has developed her own unique style and language, working in oils, watercolours, acrylics and chalk pastels.  Beginning with a meditation and tuning into her angelic guides and animal spirits, then allowing the colours to blend and flow and the magic to shine through onto the canvas.  She describes each painting as a special journey, where she has no clear idea of the destination until it is slowly revealed, as layers build and colours merge and slowly the painting unfolds.

"When I paint beginning with a meditation my heart opens as I connect with all the love of the universe and the beauty around me.  I fill my paintings with this wonderful positive energy, the love and joy so that they uplift any space"

Annie b. was born in Staffordshire, but spent most of her childhood in West Yorkshire, attending Wakefield College of Art, studying graphic design, art and photography, before moving to London to continue her studies at Ealing College of Art.  She went on to have successful careers in advertising, the music business and television, working in the UK, Europe and the USA.  She also travelled widely herself, connecting with Buddhists and different spiritual practises around the world. A true journey of discovery with teachers such as His Holiness the Dalai Llama and Aborigine elders.

Annie b. exhibits nationally and her illustrations can be seen worldwide. Annie b. has illustrated her own series of children’s books for wellbeing and a range of other people’s stories.  Annie b. also paints Guardian Angel and Spiritual Portraits as well as creates Daily Inspirations calendars and Oracle cards.
