Hello! I'm Mel, an illustrator + artist with a love of sketching on location.
I'm drawn to the natural world and love to capture the wild landscape that surrounds me here on the Lizard Peninsula. In my sketches I enjoy experimenting and using a mix of media and usually combine a range of pencils, watercolours, gouache and pastels to create textures which you can see more of in my landscape zines.
My work is often created en plein air and I enjoy running sketch walks and sharing what I've discovered with others through my online courses and in person workshops.

DIRECTIONS
From Helston follow A3083 towards the Lizard. Follow signs to St. Keverne onto B3293. Turn left to St. Martin/Helford, follow the road round, go up a steep hill, turn right down tarmac lane. Follow the lane down past a big barn till you come to a gravel car park and a blue fence.
