Edwina Broadbent’s paints in her studio above the ancient fishing village of
Mousehole in West Cornwall.
Her paintings are mainly still lives and landscapes with occasional forays into abstraction to stimulate her imagination and practice.
She is inspired by the freedom and elemental beauty of the coast nearby and also garden and wild flowers of West Cornwall.
Her work is full of energy and also paradoxically has a sense of tranquility. Her brushwork is expressive but carefully considered and her palette brims with light and colour.
Edwina is a longstanding member of The St Ives Society of Artists, and she currently shows her work in The Mariners Gallery St Ives, The Roundhouse and Capstan Gallery Sennen, Penzance Studios, Aubergineart Wimbledon, and "The Gallery" in Hungerford.
Her work is in hundreds of private, local, national and international collections.

Studio information
From Newlyn take B3315 towards Sheffield, Lamorna and Porthcurno. Go through Sheffield and after you leave the vilage go approx 200m and take left hand road signed towards Raginnis, Castallack and Mousehole, after half a mile approx turn left again towards Raginnis and Mousehole. Then another half mile and you arrive at Raginnis, turn left into unmade road and The Old Dairy Studio is second house on your right and the studio is at the front.
Alternatively you can come up from Mousehole going past the Ship Inn on your right, keep to the coast road up Raginnis Hill, at the top the road bends to the right and after 200m approx turn into the gravel road and The Old Dairy is second on the right.
The Old Dairy Studio is very close to the beautiful coastpath between Mousehole and Lamorna and is easily accesible, situated at the front of my house with plenty of parking available. There are no steps.
