I work with a very limited palette in watercolour attempting to convey a sense of place, season and time with every painting. I have a passion for painting Cornish hedgerows and am fascinated by the beauty found in inland Cornwall just as much as on our stunning coastline. My watercolours are very loose and expressive often with minimal detail that hopefully transport the viewer into a scene and make them feel a part of the landscape. I am also fascinated with painting objects in a state of decay and enjoy depicting the textures of peeling paint and rust. I find these objects link us all to our historical and industrial past.

My studio is within my home in leafy St Hilary, next to the historic church. You can either park outside the church and walk the 100m down the unmade lane, 3rd house on the left, or drive around, there is plenty of turning space in the drive.
There is a small step up into my home but I have an accessibility ramp that can be available if contacted in advance of visit
