Constantly inspired by her daily surroundings of the Cornish coast and landscape, Karen is drawn to textures incorporating layering and found colour to create tactile original pieces of abstract art alongside prints taken from nature.
Currently midway through a BA (Hons) Textiles with the Open University she continues to learn new processes and theories. Experimental, and pushing the boundaries, questioning what can be conceived as a material and thread particularly drawn to the concept of transforming today’s waste into tomorrow’s raw materials, creating art in a playful, sustainable manner.
