David Crimmen

I began painting when I was given a set of acrylic paints to occupy my time while working away from home; now I paint in my spare time whenever I can. 

I take inspiration from the local environment, especially the coastal landscape.  I try to capture the amazing light that we are lucky enough to experience here in west Cornwall.  I have found that working in oils on board allows me to make the kinds of marks that I find most interesting.  I also make the frames for my work, and I will have both framed and unframed paintings available during Open Studios.
