“Bringing the vibrance and vitality of the ocean to your home”.
I paint vibrant, abstract seascapes inspired by the Cornish coast. My work has an emphasis on the use of bold colour, and spontaneous movement of paint to create textural, uplifting pieces that are a connection to the ocean and natural world around us. The sea is my first inspiration- I bounce off all the ways I connect with the ocean; whether it be through surfing, rowing or sea-swimming. I also love getting out onto the Cornish coastpath and painting plein-air to bring a little of the Cornish elements into my paintings. Lately I have been exploring painting interesting objects such as surfboards, offcuts of wood and even rowing oars to give old discarded objects a new lease of life as a piece of art.

Approaching from Helston: Do NOT take the first left turning signed "Bodilly, Crelly" continue ahead, past Piatto cafe/Homestead Gardens, and at the brow of the hill there is a fourway crossing. Take the left turn signed "Bodilly, Releath, Nancegollan" here. Continue down the long windy road, then take the first left at the fork. Then we are the first house on the left.
Approaching from Redruth: Continue through Burras, head up the hill and you will see a sign for a fourway crossing at top of the hill. Take the right turn signed "Bodilly, Releath, Nancegollan". Continue down the long windy road, then take the first left at the fork. Then we are the first house on the left.
There are blue electric gates to our property- usually these gates will be open. But if they are not just press the buzzer and we will let you in.

Over the moon to now have two pieces of art from Sophie. Each one is so beautiful and makes me feel calm.

It really reminds us of being underwater on a summers day. We have a few of Sophie's pieces and they are always of amazing quality and utterly beautiful.
