Belinda Latimer is a Cornwall-based metalsmith whose Seafolk jewellery collection marks a return to metal after almost thirty years. Trained in crafts with a specialism in metal and textiles, she came back to metal-making in 2024, drawing on years of making across painting, printmaking and mixed media. Inspired by the sky, sea and land of Cornwall, Seafolk features fish, sea anemones, lunar forms and the Cornish heart. Working in copper, brass and nickel, Belinda creates tactile, story-led jewellery using hand-cutting, hammering, embossing and collaged metals. Each piece is made as a statement for women to carry a little of Cornwall with them.

This studio is open
days: 23-25 and 29-31 May 2026.
Parking is available at a few places in St Austell, but I would park at White River Place. (Payment is required upon leaving the car park.)
As you leave the car park from the top floor, walk through the town, through Alymer Square and up the walkway past the row of shops on the right.
You will then be on Fore Street. Turn right and continue until you reach the church. Then, turn right and follow the footpath on the right hand side past the chemists and towards the bridal store.
My studio entrance is a single doorway, sign-posted with my name and the Open Studios sign.
The studio is on the first floor, up a straight staircase. Just ring the doorbell and I will appear!
Unfortunately my studio is inaccessible to wheelchairs as it is reached by a staircase.
Toilets are available.
The building has other businesses in it, so please ensure that any children stay with you at all times. Thanks.
